Day 1


Land at the Verona Villafranca Airport, and meet your Travel Director. Take a private transfer to the hotel, which is also a wine estate and farm.

Lake Garda

Enjoy a stroll through this lush property overlooking Lake Garda, Italy’s most beautiful and largest lake. Later, come together to enjoy dinner and storytelling with regional wine, featuring specialties from the surrounding three regions of Veneto, Lombardia, and Emilia Romagna.

Day 2

Desenzano Del Garda

Join our friend Marina at Podere Selva Capuzza as she and Mauro lead us in a hands-on pasta workshop. After, enjoy a lovely lunch of our own creation.

San Martino Tower

A day of activity and history awaits us. Enjoy a walk in the country to San Martino Tower, and climb the tower and learn about the part it played in Italy’s fight for independence between 1848–1870. The property’s winemaker, Luca, will introduce us to his winemaking process before dinner. During the meal we’ll be joined by a local avid storyteller who will bring to life the battle of Solferino with an engaging musical performance. Mauro may join in on the singing — be prepared!

Day 3


How Italy loves it Cheese! Today, we tour a family-run cheesemaking facility that dates back to the 1920s. This family produces artisan cheeses using sheep, cow, and goats milk. A favorite tour for Mauro, he’ll tell stories of learning to make cheese, butter, and yogurt as a young boy from his mother. Savor charcuterie and lunch following the private tour.


Continue to Verona for an expertly guided walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site made famous by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Known as the city of romance, discover the city’s history as well through Roman ruins, Gothic monuments, and its storied past. We’ll share our list of favorite places to dine here as well as to shop! Enjoy dinner at your leisure this evening in beautiful Verona.

Day 4

Lake Iseo

Today we visit Lake Iseo, the quiet and charming town just north of Brescia. Our pace slows down a bit as we explore this fishing village’s cobblestone streets and sleepy cafés. Tour a wine estate in Lake Iseo that specializes in producing the well known sparkling white called Franciacorta — one of Connie’s favorites!

Lake Garda

After a light lunch, embark on a walking tour of the city of Brescia. Uncover this often overlooked city, which is actually the second largest in Northern Italy. Discover some of the best-preserved examples of Roman architecture during a guided sightseeing tour. Visit the Forum Square, the Medieval Square and Communal Palace, the Venetian Clock Tower, and more. Indulge in a dinner of freshly caught fish from nearby Lake Garda paired with wine at our hotel.

Day 5


Get your cameras ready as we depart in the morning for the province of Trentino — a breathtaking territory with mountains and valleys. Head to Vallagarina Valley where we’ll discover de TARCZAL, a well-established wine estate with a royal history. Devour a lunch of regional dishes at a quaint ristorante.


Unwind in Malcesine — a beautiful town on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. Enjoy time to stroll along the lake path or shop downtown. Savor a dinner of regional specialties at the hotel.

Day 6


Start the day in Sirmione, a picturesque peninsula on Lake Garda. Spend the day amid grottos, castles, Roman ruins, and thermal baths. Take part in one of the optional excursions, such as a boat ride around the lake or a tour of the Grottos of Catullus. Lunch is at your leisure in Sirmione.


Head to Valpolicella, the famed winemaking commune where we stop at Corte Lonardi to meet our friend and winemaker Giuseppe Lonardi. After a personal tour of his vineyard and estate, we’ll enjoy a tasting of select wines. A rustic dinner at Giuseppe’s family trattoria is to follow.

Day 7


Greet the village of Borghetto. Today, we will master our pasta-making skills! Enjoy a pasta-making demonstration and a delicious lunch. Learn tortellini’s other name, “Nodo d’Amore,” meaning love knot.

Desenzano Del Garda

Spend the afternoon back at our hotel and wine estate, relaxing the Italian way. Join together for a memorable farewell dinner accompanied by a lively musical performance.

Day 8


Indulge in a delicious final breakfast together, and check out of the hotel. Take a private transfer to the Verona Villafranca Airport for departures home. Arrivederci Italy, we’ll be back again soon! Ciao!

This trip has been designed to include daily exploratory walks that range from one to three hours. Guests should feel comfortable meandering along cobbled surfaces, walking up and down stairs, and sauntering down uneven nature paths.
